Hello fellow geeks!
We hope you are all doing well and keeping safe. We were expecting 'The Beast From The East 2' last week, but luckily (or not to some!) it never hit us up north in Lancashire. Did you get snow where you're from? We hope the weather hasn't caused too much disruption to parcels being sent out this past week.
At the moment we are waiting on Boris' next announcement about the current lockdown here in the UK, which will be held next Monday, 22nd February. We are hoping for some good news and hoping we are able to reopen again. Keep everything crossed for us!
This week we meet Rachel, who runs @isuspectnargles on Instagram. Rachel is actually the twin sister of Lyndsey from @quillsandquaffles who was featured in our first Brand Rep blog of the month! How cool is that?
The first item that Rachel purchased from us was the Skele-gro Water Bottle. Isn't this photo absolutely stunning? We love the Quidditch aspect tied into it. One of my favourite (and underrated in my opinion!) characters is Gilderoy Lockhart. Harry's floppy arm during the Quidditch match thanks to him makes me laugh every time!
So let's jump straight in and meet Rachel!

First of all, do you solemnly swear you are up to no good?
"Always."
How long have you been a Harry Potter fan? "Since I was 13 and was taken to see the first film by a youth group that I went to." When did you start collecting and what was your first piece? "As soon as I'd seen the first film, I needed to start collecting. My first piece was the Gringotts Bank book from Asda. My mum and Dad used to drive to the Asda at the other side of Leeds to do the weekly shop because they were the only place that sold the coins."
What is your favourite piece in your collection? "It's so hard to choose! I'd probably have to say my Triwizard Dragon letter openers." What is on your wishlist? "The Hogwarts Castle sculpture by Noble Collection or a full sized Nimbus 2000 replica! More realistically though, Ron's wand so I have the Golden Trio collection and the MinaLima notebooks that I need to finish the collection." Which is your favourite book and/or movie? "Goblet of Fire for both but Half Blood Prince is a close second for the film - the humour in it is brilliant."
Why did you want to become a brand rep for The Geek Side? "I think it's important to support small businesses in whatever way we can. I had visited the shop and loved it and Zoe, the owner is so lovely and I now consider her a friend." What is your favourite Harry Potter item at The Geek Side? "Too many! I love that such a wide range is on offer! Everything from Noble Collection to Danielle Nicole and Cardology. My favourite item would be the Nimbus 2000 and the MinaLima notebooks." What are you hoping to purchase next from The Geek Side? "Definitely some of the MinaLima notebooks to complete my collection."
